  • Big Brothers Big Sisters of Puget Sound

    Rooted in the Puget Sound region for more than 60 years, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Puget Sound creates meaningful one-on-one mentoring relationships between adult volunteer mentors and kids ages six through 18. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Puget Sound serves youth in King and Pierce counties through mentoring programs in communities, schools, and workplaces.

  • The Children's Museum

    Located in the heart of the city, The Children’s Museum, Seattle, is a 22,000 square-foot environment for children and their families. Every exhibit is interactive, which allows little hands and growing minds to explore, play, and learn. The Children’s Museum, Seattle hosts many thousands of visitors and families annually.

    Dunn Lumber is proud to sponsor the Dunn Lumber Construction Zone. This popular exhibit allows children to put on gloves and a hard hat before getting to work building a home, rocket ship, castle, and more. The Dunn Lumber Construction Zone provides hands-on activities that help children develop motor skills and cooperative learning.

  • Boys & Girls Clubs

    The mission of King County Boys and Girls Clubs is to inspire and enable all young people to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens. With full-service clubs and numerous before- and after-school program sites, the organization is one of the largest of its kind in the nation. Programs include character and leadership development; education and career development; health and life skills; the arts; and sports and recreation.

    Dunn Lumber began its relationship with the King County Boys and Girls Clubs more than 50 years ago. Throughout the generations, Dunn Lumber employees continue their involvement with the Boys and Girls Clubs through board membership, hands-on activities with Club members, and assistance with financial and material support for much-needed remodel projects.

  • Habitat for Humanity Home Improvement Outlet

    Habitat for Humanity builds houses under the belief that shelter is empowering, and that “everyone, everywhere, should have a healthy, affordable place to call home.” Habitat for Humanity seeks to eliminate homelessness in the Pacific Northwest by providing training and access to resources, which allow families to have a shelter of their own. Through their nonprofit home improvement stores and donation centers, Habitat for Humanity also sells used furniture, appliances, and building materials to the public at thrift prices.

    Dunn Lumber formed a meaningful relationship with Habitat for Humanity years ago, which has evolved into a powerful, charitable partnership. Dunn Lumber contributes to Habitat through donations, volunteer events, and by leveraging business connections.

  • Northwest Harvest

    Northwest Harvest is committed to ending hunger in the state of Washington by giving people access to nutritious food while respecting human dignity and promoting good health. Northwest Harvest is the only nonprofit in Washington which operates a food bank distribution network across the entire state. The organization currently hosts 375 food banks and meal programs at in-need schools, while serving 2 million meals every month.

    Each of Dunn Lumber’s nine Seattle-area locations serve as year-round food collection centers for Northwest Harvest. Dunn Lumber is also proud to host two charity golf tournaments every summer, with proceeds donated entirely to Northwest Harvest. Please join us in bringing equity to our state’s food system.   • Everett Gospel Mission

    The Everett Gospel Mission currently provides shelter and recovery programs for more than 200 men, women, and children. Each person arriving at their shelter undergoes a detailed intake assessment. Based on this evaluation, the Everett Gospel Mission develops a customized program to help each person and their family pursue stability—and a future of hope and promise. Dunn Lumber partners with the Everett Gospel Mission by providing donations as well as reduced pricing on materials for expansion projects and upgrades.

  • Camp Korey

    Camp Korey is dedicated to honoring the courage, strength, and determination of children living with serious and life-altering medical conditions (and their families). Camp Korey provides these children with a safe, friendly, and medically sound environment in which they are free to simply have fun. At Camp Korey, campers have the freedom to challenge themselves and reclaim their childhood, and families receive the respite and support they need. Dunn Lumber supports Camp Korey by providing volunteers through its Dunn Cares program. Past events have included setup, cleaning, and food preparation for upcoming fundraising events.

  • Rampathon

    Rampathon is an annual program hosted by the Master Builders Association (MBA) where members and volunteers donate time and materials to build wheelchair-access ramps for low-income homeowners throughout King and Snohomish counties. Since its inception in 1993, members and volunteers have built more than 450 ramps and contributed more than $2 million in in-kind contributions to our community.

    Dunn Lumber has partnered with the MBA and Rampathon for many years. Our partnership has grown significantly, with Dunn Lumber now providing Ramp Captains with the majority of their ramp materials each year. We are extremely grateful for our vendor partners: Hall Forest Products, Exterior Wood, Oldcastle, Simpson Strong-Tie, and International Wood Products. We want to highlight these vendors for their generous participation, and acknowledge that the growth of this program would not be possible without their ongoing commitment.

  • REST

    Human trafficking is the fastest-growing criminal industry in the world. REST was founded in 2009 to take action against the commercial sexual exploitation of girls and young women in Seattle and the greater King County area. Each year, REST offers direct services to hundreds of people exploited by the sex trade. Through their holistic approach (prevention, intervention, and aftercare), REST serves those who are either at risk, actively involved, or trying to escape sexual exploitation. Dunn Lumber is proud to support REST through financial contributions and provides materials and labor for necessary improvements at various REST resident housing units.

  • Vision House

    As a local organization for more than 25 years, Vision House is guided by their mission to provide housing and services to homeless families and families whose income falls below 30 percent of the median income. They have partnered with HomeAid Puget Sound to build 10 additional transitional housing units at the Vision House Shoreline complex known as Jacob's Well at a total cost of $3 million. Vision House plans to continue their mission by addressing the lack of affordable housing and support services in our community. Dunn Lumber is proud to support Vision House.

  • YMCA

    The Seattle YMCA reflects the mission of its national parent organization by seeking to build a community where youth and adults can develop their spirit, mind, and body. The YMCA offers safe and nurturing environments for play, aerobic activities, life-skill development, access to support resources, and community strengthening. Dunn Lumber is proud to support the University location of the Seattle YMCA’s with donations and materials for their building restoration project.

  • Youth for Christ

    ​​Seattle Area Youth for Christ is a faith-based outreach ministry committed to developing leaders from at-risk populations. Youth for Christ focuses on three demographics: youth from low-income neighborhoods, youth in jail or diversion programs, and teen parents. By engaging them in authentic mentoring relationships and providing necessary life skills, Youth for Christ are empowering Seattle-area youth to become leaders in their families and local communities. Youth For Christ have eight active local ministries—located Seattle, Bellevue, Everett, and Monroe. Dunn Lumber partners with Youth for Christ by sponsoring the organization’s annual golf tournament.

  • Union Gospel Mission

    Seattle’s Union Gospel Mission has offered robust support services to King County’s homeless and at-need population since the organization began in 1932. Established as a response to those suffering from the Great Depression, the Union Gospel Mission now serves thousands of homeless and in-need people each day. The mission employs a multi-faceted approach to proactive care, including hot meals, safe shelter, access to healthcare and addiction recovery, and life and career training. Dunn Lumber is proud to support the Union Gospel Mission.

  • Eastside Academy

    Eastside Academy was created to be a high school for teens struggling with addiction, trauma, and other challenges which make it difficult to succeed in a traditional learning environment. By offering education, counseling, recovery, housing, and life skills programs to at-risk youth, Eastside Academy is helping to give students holistic resources and support for their success.

    Dunn Lumber is proud to partner with Eastside Academy by providing donations and materials including picnic tables and recreational amenities for their ReNew Youth Housing Program. This program serves homeless and vulnerable youth in our community who also attend Eastside Academy’s nonprofit high school.

  • Sawhorse Revolution

    Sawhorse Revolution began in 2010 as a carpentry summer camp. The nonprofit organization focuses on inspiring confidence and developing carpentry skills in high school students located throughout central and south Seattle. Sawhorse Revolution helps youth to cultivate trade skills through community-oriented building projects. In a few short years, Sawhorse Revolution has added after-school programming and worked with more than 150 students.

    Dunn Lumber proudly partners with Sawhorse Revolution by providing donations and materials for community projects including the women's-only EASE.L House (currently being utilized at the Georgetown Nicklesville Homeless Village), Rampathon, and 10 tiny houses through a City of Seattle grant.

  • Magic Fields Foundation

    Magic Fields was founded to provide families with safe environments to spend time with friends, neighbors and, most importantly, children, to make lasting memories and build stronger communities. The foundation focuses on youth sports, repairing little league baseball fields to provide safe environments for kids to play and families to build community bonds.
