"As King and Snohomish counties move closer to the second stage of reopening, MBAKS has created a Phase 2 Toolkit to help you and your contracting team get back to work while following the best practices set out by Gov. Jay Inslee."

For over two decades, Dunn Lumber has been a proud member of the Master Builders Association of King and Snohomish Counties (MBAKS), the nation’s largest and oldest local home builders association. MBAKS offers a variety of resources to its members, including health and dental insurance, continuing education, a Labor & Industries Retrospective Rating (Retro) program, and ways to give back to the community.

As individual counties enter Phase 2 of reopening, MBAKS has been working diligently to provide resources and education to its members regarding the changing climate. As King and Snohomish counties move closer to the second stage of reopening, MBAKS has created a Phase 2 Toolkit to help you and your contracting team get back to work while following best practices set out by Gov. Jay Inslee.

Within Phase 2, all construction will be able to resume. The Phase 2 Toolkit expands on the requirements laid out in the Phase 1 Toolkit, with templates for a comprehensive Phase 2 plan, a cleaning plan, and a job hazard analysis, as well as COVID-19 safety posters, a list of the required PPE, and daily onsite checklists for current best practices. The toolkit also provides a variety of other resources, such as memos from Gov. Inslee’s office and guidance for how to properly use face masks.

As construction begins to resume, it’s important we all do our part to follow proper safety measures to protect our contractors and communities. Failure to comply with safety regulations not only puts workers at risk, but it may also risk the entire industry’s ability to continue operating. That’s why we’re so thankful MBAKS has put together this amazing asset to make staying safe a little easier.

At Dunn Lumber, we’re always committed to bringing you trusted advice—especially in this rapidly changing time. As an essential business, we’re monitoring the situation as things change and updating our policies to comply with current regulations. We hope you find MBAKS’ Phase 2 Toolkit as helpful as we have, and we’re glad to be a part of your journey into reopening.
